I have seen it in the movies; heard about it happening from acquaintances and even witnessed it several times on various occasions, but never had I expected it to befall on myself.
Knocking over a drink onto the person seated next to you at a restaurant, especially when it’s a pretty lady in a beautiful dress; the experience is soul-snatching. The sudden rush of guilt blasted by embarrassment and remorse overwhelmed my sanity. My unfortunate guest bounced spontaneously from her seat to avoid the rest of the spill dripping from the table and I was not able to do anything to make up for my guilt but to simply apologise and hoping that my clumsiness did not cause any drastic damage.
Fortunately it was plain water that I had spilled and the pretty lady’s dress was water-resistant to some extent. All the same, the experience was terrible. Must be absolutely careful and alert when dining off a congested table.
