I had a bypass procedure done on me on 13th March 2009 in Singapore.  Coincidentally, one year to the date, I was to organise a seminar on Heart Diseases here in Phnom Penh in collaboration with the First Center Clinic and the National Heart Center Singapore.

The event went very well at the Sunway Hotel; all 228 alloted seats were occupied.  The cardiologists were also pleased to address an attentive audience.  Participants went home better informed of heart diseases and some prevention measures.  Of course for those who are diseased, the Singaporean specialists presence were a comforting encounter. 

As soon as the doctors were done with their bits, questions were almost immediately shot at them.  Later, some took the advantage of meeting the specialists in a private room arranged especially for the purpose.  I must add that both Dr. Chua Yeow Leng and Dr. Tan Swee Yaw are very good at the profession.  At least a few people have requested for me to help arrange for them to visit the Heart Center in Singapore.  Glad I am of help; me being a beneficiary of medical intervention.

We plan to organise such a session on a regular basis.  The next event is tentatively scheduled to be on 11th July 2010.  The venue will probably be at the same place (Sunway Hotel, Phnom Penh); unless we have a bigger audience.  The address to reserve a seat is help@savemylife.org and admission is absolutely free.
